Although Provincetown is located at the very tip of Cape Cod, it is easily accessible by car, bus, ferry, and air. Provincetown is a two and a half hour drive from Providence and Providence’s T.F. Green Airport and a two and a half hour drive from Boston and Boston’s Logan Airport.
Entertainment in Provincetown can be as simple as sitting on a bench in front of Town Hall and watching the entire world go by or as exhilarating as a drag show which makes you forget that it’s really not Judy Garland or Marilyn Monroe on stage. Big names and no names share the stage. It’s all about fun and that’s what we all need, especially when we’re on vacation!
Shopping is also an experience: dotted along Commercial Street are Provincetown’s famous art galleries, antique and home furnishing shops, and handcrafted jewelry and clothing boutiques. Many shops offer exquisite collections of local hand-crafted merchandise or items acquired from buying trips over the winter. The Bear Market offers bear artists an opportunity to offer their furry talents for some unique items.
